PSDESIGN® provides professional engineer stamped connection design and calculations for multiple types of steel connecitons, i.e. column and beam splice, column base and cap plate, beam-beam connection, beam-column connection, horizontal and vertical brace connection, that completely fulfill the customer's specifications of loads, materials, and geometry. The loads can be shear, axial tension and compression, moment, or combined.
PSDESIGN® utilizes software packages such as SDS/2, DesconWin, and DesconBrace to implement the connection design. PSDESIGN® engineers check each limit state to ensure that customer's requirements and AISC specifications and codes are satisfied. PSDESIGN® engineers have developed spreadsheets that strictly follow the newest edition of AISC specifications and codes for certain complicated connections that commercial software packages are not able to handle.
